Our Editorial Standards and Process

At Bali Diving Packages Atelier, our commitment to you extends beyond crafting exceptional travel experiences; it includes providing information that is accurate, trustworthy, and deeply insightful. Our content, from dive site descriptions to sustainability reports, is created to empower your decisions and enrich your understanding of Indonesia’s marine world. This page outlines the rigorous standards that govern our content creation and verification process.

Core Principles

  • Expertise First: All content related to diving, marine life, and safety is written or reviewed by certified professionals from our team, including our PADI Course Director and consulting Marine Biologist. We do not publish secondhand information.
  • Accuracy & Verification: Every claim is fact-checked. We prioritize primary sources, including direct on-site verification, data from Indonesian government bodies, and peer-reviewed scientific research.
  • Transparency: We are transparent about our methodology, our partnerships, and our mission. Any potential conflict of interest is clearly disclosed.
  • Client-Centricity: Our content is created for you. It is designed to be practical, inspiring, and above all, useful for the discerning luxury traveler and passionate diver.

Our Research and Fact-Checking Workflow

Our content is not generated from internet searches. It is the product of a meticulous, multi-stage process:

  1. On-Site Vetting: Our descriptions of dive sites, partner resorts, and liveaboards are based on personal, in-depth site inspections conducted by our senior team. We dive the sites, inspect the vessels, and audit the safety procedures ourselves. This is a core part of Our Methodology.
  2. Primary Source Consultation: We consult directly with official and scientific sources. For marine life migration patterns, we reference data from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) and organizations like the Manta Trust. For travel regulations, we consult directly with the Directorate General of Immigration and the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenparekraf).
  3. Expert Review: Before any piece of content is published, it undergoes a rigorous review. A dive-related article is reviewed by Gede Sudarsana, our Lead Dive Concierge. A piece on conservation is reviewed by Dr. Anya Sari, our Marine Biologist. This ensures every detail is correct, from the typical water temperature in Raja Ampat in July to the proper scientific name for a pygmy seahorse.
  4. Sourcing and Attribution: When we cite data or statistics, we attribute them to the original source, such as the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for tourism data or WWF Indonesia for conservation reports.

Content Updates and Cadence

The underwater world and travel regulations are dynamic. Our commitment to accuracy requires constant vigilance. We review and update our core content, including safety protocols and dive site conditions, on a quarterly basis. Information subject to frequent change, such as park fees for Komodo National Park or airline schedules from Garuda Indonesia, is monitored continuously and updated as soon as official changes are announced.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Our recommendations are earned, never bought. The partners we feature are selected exclusively through the stringent criteria outlined in Our Methodology. We do not accept payment to include a resort or liveaboard in our recommended portfolio. Our primary allegiance is to our clients and the quality of their experience. Any content that is part of a formal partnership or sponsored collaboration will be explicitly and clearly marked as such. Our goal is to build long-term trust, which is the foundation of our bespoke concierge service.
